Between Influence and Being Influenced: Strategies for the Conscious Use of Social Media

A group of youth interested in community awareness (students of the Department of Creed and Islamic Thought) organized an educational activity titled: “Between Influence and Being Influenced: Strategies for the Conscious Use of Social Media,” aiming to highlight the importance of positive and responsible use of social media platforms and to clarify their intellectual and behavioral effects on young people.

The activity addressed several important themes, most notably promoting digital awareness and explaining how to deal critically and consciously with online content. It also discussed the role of social media in shaping personality and influencing values and behavior, while presenting a set of guidelines that help achieve a balance between benefiting from these platforms and avoiding their negative impacts.

The activity was presented by the students: Abduljabbar Yassin, Marwan Abdulhafidh, Abdullah Nihad, Abdulbari Mohammed, Taha Ahmed, and Mahmoud Hamid.

The event witnessed notable engagement from attendees, who emphasized the importance of such awareness initiatives in promoting digital culture and establishing conscious methods for using social media among youth.
