Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Samarra, the Department of Sharia organized an educational scientific activity represented by the presentation of three scientific posters titled: “The Jurisprudential Contributions of Imam Sayyid Ahmad al-Rifa‘i,” “The Jurisprudential Contributions of Imam al-Ghazali,” and “The Jurisprudential Contributions of Imam al-Nawawi,” with the participation of undergraduate students and under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Anas Abduljabbar Sabah Al-Ghafil.
This activity comes within the college’s efforts to enhance students’ scientific and jurisprudential awareness and to highlight the contributions of Muslim scholars in serving Islamic jurisprudence and establishing its principles by shedding light on their scholarly methodologies and their impact on shaping Islamic thought throughout history.
The scientific posters addressed several themes, most notably introducing the scholarly biographies of the three prominent scholars, explaining their jurisprudential efforts, and reviewing the impact of their writings in enriching the Islamic library and serving students and researchers.
The Department of Sharia affirmed its commitment to involving students in scientific and cultural activities that contribute to developing their research skills and strengthening their connection to the Islamic jurisprudential heritage, in line with the vision of the college and the university in supporting scientific activities and serving society.
