Department of Sharia at the College of Islamic Sciences Participates in Sustainability Awareness Poster Activity with Master’s Students
The Department of Sharia at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Samarra, under the supervision of the Head of the Sustainability Committee and Director of Graduate Studies, Lecturer Dr. Janan Shakir Ali, and with the participation of postgraduate (Master’s) students, took part in an awareness-oriented scientific activity represented by presenting a series of posters on sustainability. This activity falls ضمن university initiatives aimed at promoting environmental awareness and reinforcing sustainable development concepts within the academic community.
The displayed posters addressed multiple themes, most notably the importance of sustainability in preserving natural resources, rationalizing water and energy consumption, reducing pollution, and highlighting the role of educational institutions in building a responsible environmental culture. They also emphasized the impact of both individual and collective awareness in achieving a more sustainable future.
The contributions reflected a high academic level and clear creativity among Master’s students, as the posters included purposeful ideas and awareness-driven designs that effectively communicated scientific and societal messages through modern and engaging approaches.
The Head of the Sustainability Committee affirmed that this participation aligns with the university’s direction in supporting sustainable development goals and activating the role of students in scientific and cultural activities that foster initiative and social responsibility.
The activity was well received by attendees, who appreciated its informative content and awareness messages, reflecting students’ engagement with contemporary environmental and developmental issues.
