Faculty Member at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Samarra, Publishes a New Short Story Collection
As part of the scientific, cultural, and creative movement witnessed by the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Samarra, Assistant Professor Dr. Janan Shakir Ali, a faculty member in the Department of Sharia, has published a new short story collection entitled “Between the Shadows of the Soul and the Light of the Self: Reflective Stories from the Heart of Life,” in cooperation with Al-Ibda’a Artistic Foundation and published by Dar Al-Fikr Publishing House.
This publication reflects the presence of academic competencies in the field of literature and thought, as the collection includes narrative texts of a reflective and humanistic nature. These texts draw inspiration from moral and spiritual values and address human issues in facing pain and hope, faith and patience, tolerance, and self-building, through a refined literary style that combines aesthetic depth with a purposeful message.
This achievement represents a qualitative addition to the scientific and creative output of the college’s faculty members. It also reflects their commitment to employing literature and knowledge in consolidating human and Islamic values and contributing to enriching the cultural scene in a way that strengthens the university’s mission of spreading thought, creativity, and community service.
