Faculty Member from the College of Islamic Sciences Participates in a PhD Dissertation Defense Committee at the University of Tikrit
As part of scientific openness and academic cooperation among Iraqi universities, Professor Dr. Hamid Abdul Latif Jassim, a faculty member at the College of Islamic Sciences / Department of Sharia, participated as a member of a PhD dissertation defense committee titled: “Tabyeen Al-Hidaya wa Tawdeeh Al-Bidaya by Sayyid Hafez Al-Kadousi (d. 1253 AH),” submitted by researcher Hind Bilal Abdulhamid.
The defense took place on Sunday morning, April 12, at the College of Education for Humanities / Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education at the University of Tikrit, in the presence of a specialized academic committee.
This participation reflects the active academic role of the College of Islamic Sciences’ faculty members in contributing to scholarly forums and reinforces their presence in thesis and dissertation defenses across Iraqi universities, highlighting the college’s academic standing and reputation.
The committee praised the scientific effort presented in the dissertation, which focused on the verification and study of a classical text in Quranic sciences. The discussion concluded with awarding the researcher a PhD degree with a “Very Good” distinction.
