Faculty Members from the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Samarra Participate in the Sixth International Scientific Conference at the University of Sulaymaniyah
The Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Samarra, Professor Dr. Hassan Ahmed Hussein, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Ihab Abdullah Abdul Razzaq, Assistant Lecturer Saad Mutashar Saad, and Mr. Muhannad Basheer Mohammed, participated in the Sixth International Scientific Conference organized by the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Sulaymaniyah under the slogan: “Kurdish Scholars in Baghdad: Pioneers of Thought and Sources of Knowledge,” and entitled “The Contributions of Kurdish Religious Scholars in Baghdad to the Development of Intellectual and Knowledge-Based Renaissance.”
The conference witnessed broad academic and scholarly participation from various universities and scientific institutions. Participants discussed a number of research papers and studies that highlighted the pioneering role of Kurdish religious scholars in enriching the scientific and intellectual movement in Baghdad and their contributions to the advancement of knowledge throughout different historical periods.
The participation of the delegation from the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Samarra reflects the college’s commitment to strengthening scientific and academic cooperation with Iraqi universities and engaging in scholarly conferences and activities that promote the exchange of expertise and knowledge, thereby contributing to the development of scientific research and the advancement of education.
Participants emphasized the importance of such conferences in highlighting the scientific and civilizational legacy of Muslim scholars and shedding light on their efforts in promoting the values of knowledge, learning, and human civilization.
