Islamic Creed and Its Impact on Building Balanced Thought: A Scientific Course to Promote Moderation and Intellectual Awareness
A distinguished scientific course was held over two days, April 1–2, titled “Islamic Creed and Its Impact on Building Balanced Thought.” It was delivered by Dr. Hussein Alwan Hussein, Assistant Lecturer Yasser Hassan Abdullah, and Assistant Lecturer Khudair Amer Khudair, with the participation of a group of faculty members and students interested in creed and intellectual studies.
The course aimed to highlight the importance of Islamic creed in establishing the foundations of balanced and moderate thinking, and in promoting religious awareness based on moderation and equilibrium. This contributes to building a well-balanced personality capable of confronting contemporary intellectual challenges. The course addressed several key topics, including the concept of Islamic creed, its role in refining behavior, its impact on achieving psychological and intellectual stability, and its role in countering extremism and radicalism.
The course witnessed positive engagement from attendees through discussions and contributions that enriched its themes, emphasizing the importance of organizing such academic activities that help reinforce authentic values and build a conscious and cohesive society.
At the conclusion of the course, emphasis was placed on the need to continue organizing scientific courses and seminars addressing issues of thought and creed, given their significant role in enhancing awareness and promoting principles of moderation within society.
