Islamic Thought and Its Role in Protecting Youth and Building Society in a Scientific Course at the College of Islamic Sciences

The Department of Creed and Islamic Thought at the College of Islamic Sciences, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific course titled “The Role of Islamic Thought in Protecting Youth and Building Society,” presented by Dr. Hussein Alwan Hussein and Dr. Noor Awad Khalaf, in the presence of a number of faculty members, students, and individuals interested in intellectual and educational affairs.

The course addressed the importance of moderate Islamic thought in enhancing awareness among youth and explained its role in confronting deviant ideologies and contemporary intellectual challenges, in addition to reinforcing moral and humanitarian values that contribute to building a cohesive and secure society.

The lecturers also emphasized the necessity of investing in youth potentials and directing them toward knowledge and education, while strengthening the spirit of belonging and social responsibility in accordance with the principles of Islamic Sharia and the requirements of contemporary reality.

The course witnessed active participation and discussions from attendees, who praised the importance of the topic and stressed the need for more scientific activities that contribute to spreading intellectual and cultural awareness among youth.
