Scientific Poster at the College of Islamic Sciences Highlights the Sharia Perspective on Sustainability and the Development of Land and Humanity

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences – University of Samarra, the Department of Sharia organized an awareness-oriented scientific activity represented by presenting a poster titled “Sustainability and Agriculture in Islam: A Sharia Perspective on the Development of Land and Humanity,” with the participation of undergraduate students and under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Amal Rajab Shakir.

This activity comes within the college’s efforts to promote a culture of sustainability and strengthen environmental awareness among students by highlighting the role of Islamic Sharia in protecting natural resources and achieving a balance between their utilization and preservation for future generations.

The poster addressed several key themes, including the importance of agriculture in building societies and achieving economic stability, the foundations of Islamic Sharia in land cultivation, preventing corruption, encouraging planting and agriculture, prohibiting water waste, and promoting public interest.

The Department of Sharia emphasized its commitment to engaging students in scientific and cultural activities that develop their skills and enhance their responsibility toward the environment and society, in alignment with sustainable development goals and the university’s vision in serving the community.
