Sound Digital Upbringing… A Scientific Seminar to Promote Community Awareness of Electronic Risks

The Department of Creed and Islamic Thought at the College of Islamic Sciences organized a scientific seminar titled: “Sound Digital Upbringing: Towards a Conscious Society in Facing the Risks of Electronics,” as part of its scientific and awareness activities aimed at promoting digital culture and establishing safe methods for using modern technologies and electronic communication platforms.

The seminar addressed the importance of building responsible societal awareness regarding the increasing influence of electronic devices and digital applications, while highlighting the role of families and educational institutions in guiding young people toward the positive use of technology and reducing the negative effects resulting from excessive usage, especially on intellectual, psychological, and social aspects.

The seminar sessions were presented by the students Hind Abduljabbar, Janan Hassoun, Ghufran Wasmi, Rusul Jamal, Malak Riyadh, and Enas Yarub, under the supervision and preparation of Assistant Lecturer Sarwa Madin Mohammed. They presented a series of scientific and awareness-oriented discussions emphasizing the importance of developing self-monitoring, strengthening ethical values in the digital environment, and building a generation capable of consciously dealing with modern technological developments.

The seminar witnessed active interaction from the audience through discussions and interventions that focused on the importance of integration between the family and the university in creating a safe digital environment that contributes to protecting youth and society.
