“The Dollar Rules”: How Exchange Rates Reshape the State Economy in a Scientific Seminar
The Department of Islamic Finance and Banking organized a scientific seminar titled “The Dollar Rules: How Exchange Rates Reshape the State Economy,” attended by a number of faculty members, researchers, and college students.
The seminar addressed the importance of exchange rates as one of the most influential economic indicators affecting the stability and growth of countries, highlighting the role of the US dollar in directing monetary and financial policies in many economies, particularly developing nations. It also discussed the impact of exchange rate fluctuations on inflation levels, purchasing power, imports and exports, as well as their influence on domestic and foreign investment.
During the seminar, the speakers emphasized that excessive dependence on the dollar places economies before significant challenges, which requires adopting balanced economic policies that strengthen the national currency and reduce sharp fluctuations. The seminar also witnessed valuable scientific interventions from the attendees, enriching the discussion and contributing to presenting future visions for addressing economic issues related to exchange rates.
At the conclusion of the seminar, participants recommended enhancing economic awareness among students and encouraging studies and research that contribute to a deeper understanding of international financial relations and their reflections on the national economy.
