The Islamic Dress Code for Women and Its Role in Promoting Values and Preserving Society

As part of efforts to spread religious awareness and strengthen moral values within society, the Department of Finance and Banking organized a scientific course titled: “The Islamic Dress Code for Women and Its Role in Promoting Values and Preserving Society.” The course addressed the concept of Islamic dress and its religious and social dimensions, as well as its role in protecting women and enhancing social stability. It also highlighted the most important contemporary challenges facing adherence to Islamic guidelines, emphasizing the importance of awareness and proper upbringing in preserving Islamic identity and values.

The course explained the wisdom behind legislating the hijab, which lies in preserving women’s dignity and protecting them from harm, in addition to reinforcing the values of modesty and chastity within society.

It also discussed the most significant contemporary challenges that may influence women’s commitment to Islamic dress, including media influence and foreign cultures, stressing the importance of religious awareness and sound upbringing in confronting these influences.

The course affirmed that adherence to Islamic dress contributes to strengthening family and social stability, spreading a culture of mutual respect, and reducing negative phenomena and moral decline.

The course concluded by emphasizing that Islamic dress represents a means of protecting women and preserving their status, while contributing to building a cohesive society founded on noble principles and moral values.
