The Seven Qur’anic Readings: An Awareness Campaign Promoting Understanding of Qur’anic Heritage Across the College
The Psychological Guidance and Educational Counseling Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences organized a field awareness campaign by displaying educational posters on “The Seven Qur’anic Readings” across various college facilities and halls. The initiative aimed to spread Qur’anic literacy and introduce students to the importance of the science of Qira’at and its role in understanding and accurately reciting the Qur’anic text.
The posters presented simplified yet comprehensive information about the seven canonical readings and their transmitters, highlighting the differences among them and their significance in preserving and transmitting the Qur’an through authenticated chains of narration. The campaign also emphasized the scholarly aspects of this discipline and its contribution to proper comprehension of Qur’anic verses.
This initiative is part of a series of awareness activities aimed at strengthening students’ religious and academic understanding, encouraging deeper engagement with Qur’anic sciences, and preparing a well-informed generation proficient in Islamic studies.
