Prime Minister’s Advisor for Energy Affairs Visits the University of Samarra to Discuss Entrepreneurial Ventures, Promises to Seek Employment for Outstanding Innovative Project Students

The Prime Minister’s Advisor for Energy Affairs, Dr. Kamal Hussein Latif, visited the University of Samarra and was received by the university Vice Rector for the Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed. The meeting was arranged on the morning of Wednesday, October 29, 2025, in the presense of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Amjad Saleh Mahmoud.
A meeting was held to discuss the university’s academic status, review the research and projects of College of Engineering students, and honor a group of students for their outstanding efforts in innovating research and graduation projects that could benefit Iraqi state institutions, as well as encourage their peers to create unconventional ideas beneficial to humanity.
The Advisor promised to submit a recommendation to the Prime Ministry to employ the students whose research and projects were clearly and tangibly superior, and also to grant them a Presidential commendation.
In a separate context, the two parties discussed the new location of the University of Samarra and the possibility of including it in the Chinese loan, similar to the educational projects adopted by the loan.
For his part, the Vice for Scientific Affairs expressed his thanks to the Prime Minister’s Advisor for the trouble of traveling, following up on the university’s scientific and structural matters, and his clear interest in scientific research projects.
