Samarra University Achieves Recognition in Global SCImago Rankings

Today, Professor Dr. Sabah Allawi Al-Samarrai, President of Samarra University, proudly announced the university’s latest accomplishment in scientific research: securing a spot in the prestigious SCImago ranking.

The 2024 edition of the SCImago ranking, released by the SCImago Foundation, has featured Samarra University, underscoring the collective dedication and perseverance of the entire university staff, including researchers and administrators. Their united team spirit and relentless efforts have driven them to strive for excellence in all areas in service of the university’s mission.

The university president expressed deep appreciation for the commendable efforts of the university’s researchers and all departments, acknowledging them as pivotal assets in rigorous scientific research.

Notably, the SCImago Global Report, published in 2009 for global research institutions, is issued by the SCImago Research Group, a respected research organization based in Spain. The group comprises members from the Spanish National Research Council, the University of Granada, Carlos III University of Madrid, the University of Alcalá, the University of Extremadura, and other esteemed educational institutions.
