Supporting the Educational Environment in Pure Sciences: Chemistry Department Lecturers Take Initiative to Build a Sublimation Apparatus for the Organic Chemistry Lab
Lecturers in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Education for Pure Sciences took the initiative to build a sublimation apparatus (Distillation Apparatus) for use in the Organic Chemistry laboratory. This was part of the volunteer work by the department’s staff, with the participation of a group of fourth-year female students.
The lecturers aimed to develop the training capabilities of the scientific laboratories in the department and to provide locally made equipment that contributes to improving the progress of practical experiments, particularly those related to separation and purification processes in organic chemistry.
The department staff, for their part, expressed their happiness at contributing to supporting the educational process, stressing that this initiative is an important step towards encouraging students towards scientific creativity and self-reliance in innovating and developing laboratory equipment.
This activity comes as part of a series of volunteer events organized by the college aimed at developing the practical skills of students and enhancing the culture of teamwork, in line with the mission and goals of providing a stimulating and integrated educational environment.
