Seminar at the College of Education Discusses the Impact of the Internet on Advancing Scientific Research
The College of Education at the University of Samarra held a scientific seminar titled “The Internet Network and Its Impact on Advancing Scientific Research”. The seminar featured lectures by Dr. Bilal Abdul Razzaq Hamid, Dr. Mu’tasim Ibrahim Musleh, and Assistant Lecturer Ammar Saeed Shakir—faculty members from the Department of Arabic Language.
The organizers aimed to highlight the role of the internet in supporting scientific research, particularly in light of significant technological advancements. They emphasized the web’s features that enhance research efficiency by saving time and effort.
Dr. Abdul Razzaq spoke about the importance of scientific research in academic studies and its role across various fields of life. He also discussed the vital role that universities and governmental institutions play in encouraging and supporting scientific research and in empowering faculty and researchers in this mission.
Mr. Saeed stressed the importance of preserving the core principles of scientific research across all disciplines, including objectivity, accuracy, and result validity—elements he described as fundamental pillars for achieving research goals.
Dr. Ibrahim explained how to effectively use internet browsers in scientific research. He detailed how to employ their features—such as text, voice, and image-based searches—which greatly facilitate information retrieval.
The speakers concluded by recommending the strategic use of time to develop research processes through the internet. They also called for encouraging researchers to expand their use of the web in scientific and academic settings, emphasizing the need for university students to become successful scientific researchers.
