Samarra University Organizes Ramadan Volleyball Championship
The Student Activities Department at the Presidency of Samarra University organized the Samarra University Ramadan Volleyball Championship for faculty members and staff from all university divisions.
The tournament kicked off at the multipurpose court of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, on Sunday, March 23 / the current month of Ramadan. The event was attended by the President of Samarra University, his administrative assistant, and the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
The first round of the championship began with a match between the University Presidency team and the College of Islamic Sciences team, which ended in a tie-breaker victory for the Presidency team.
The second match featured the College of Education team against the College of Arts team, with the College of Education team also winning in the deciding set.
It is worth noting that the Student Activities Department annually organizes Ramadan sports tournaments in which university staff participate after iftar, as a form of recreational relief from the routine of official working hours.
