A professor at Samarra University wins fourth place in the international competition for Quran memorization and arecitation

 

Prof. Dr. Sabah Allawi Al-Samarrai – President of the University of Samarra – congratulated assistant professor Sabah Khalaf Al-Samarrai -teaching- at the College of Education at the University of Samarra, winning fourth place in the 62nd session of the Malaysia International Competition for Quran Memorization and Recitation, held in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, within the period of 19 Until October 24, 2022.

Al-Samarrai’s win, one of the memorizers of the Holy Qur’an, came after competing with many participants in competitions from all over the Islamic world, in which he represented Iraq.

It is worth noting that this competition is one of the oldest international competitions of the Holy Qur’an in the Islamic world, and it is considered one of the essential competitions that brings together dozens of reciters and memorizers from all over the world.

On this honorable occasion, the President of the University of Samarra expressed his overwhelming happiness with this achievement, which is recorded in the religion and worldly affairs of one of the university’s professors. He called for university professors, employees, and students to be at the forefront of award recipients in various fields, and to represent themselves, their families, their university, and their country well, especially since they have proven their alignment advanced in many forums and events.
