Approval Process Begins for Master\’s Research Proposals of Postgraduate Students at the College of Physical Education and Sports for the 2025–2026 Academic Year
The College of Physical Education and Sports at the University of Samarra has officially commenced the approval process for the master\’s research proposals of postgraduate students for the 2025–2026 academic year. This initiative is carried out in accordance with the department\’s approved scientific plan and aims to review and approve research titles in line with academic standards and the latest scientific developments across various specializations.
As part of academic and scientific cooperation between universities and colleges, the committee responsible for approving the research proposal of master\’s student Muath Yaseen Nsaif Jasim convened in one of the halls of the Department of Physical Education at the College of Basic Education, University of Mosul. The committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Thaer Ghanim Hamdoon and included Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Farouq Younis, Assistant Professor Dr. Nashat Bashir Ibrahim, and Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulrahman Ibrahim Abdul Karim as members. Professor Dr. Mohammed Saleh Khalil participated as both a committee member and the research supervisor.
Following an extensive discussion of the study\’s framework, objectives, and scientific significance, the committee approved the research proposal entitled:
\”The Temporal Sequencing of the Pelvis, Trunk, and Striking Arm and Its Relationship to Ball Speed and Accuracy in the Forehand Stroke of Under-18 and Advanced Tennis Players.\”
This research falls within the specialized field of sports biomechanics and motion analysis. It aims to investigate the relationship between the temporal sequencing of the kinetic chain components and the indicators of ball speed and accuracy during the forehand stroke. The findings are expected to contribute to the scientific and practical development of tennis training methods and enhance athletic performance.
