Master\’s Thesis at the College of Physical Education Discusses Enjoyment of University Life and Its Relationship to Career Orientation among Students
A master\’s thesis entitled \”Enjoyment of University Life and Its Relationship to Career Orientation among Students of Some Colleges of Physical Education and Sports Sciences across the Four Academic Stages\” was discussed at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Samarra, by the student Mustafa Hussein Hassan.
The examination committee consisted of:

The thesis aimed to develop a scale for measuring enjoyment of university life and a scale for career orientation, as well as to identify their levels and the correlational relationship between them among students of selected Colleges of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. It also sought to highlight the importance of the university environment in developing students\’ personalities and enhancing their psychological and social adjustment, which positively reflects on the clarity of their future career orientations.
The researcher adopted the descriptive method using a correlational approach. The research sample included students from the Colleges of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the Universities of Samarra, Tikrit, and Kirkuk. The study also involved constructing the research scales and verifying their scientific properties in terms of validity, reliability, and discriminatory power.
The findings revealed that the participants demonstrated a good level of enjoyment of university life and career orientation. Furthermore, a statistically significant correlation was found between the two variables, confirming the importance of providing a supportive university environment that contributes to the development of students\’ academic and professional aspects.
At the conclusion of the defense, the committee commended the researcher\’s scientific efforts and emphasized the significance of the study\’s findings and recommendations in supporting career guidance and counseling programs, as well as enhancing the quality of university life for students.
