The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences Participates in the Meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Physical Education and Sports Sciences to Discuss Preparations fo
The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Samarra, Professor Dr. Saad Abbas Abd, participated in the meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Iraqi universities, which was dedicated to discussing preparations for the implementation of the Bologna Process, scheduled to be adopted in Colleges of Physical Education and Sports Sciences starting from the 2026–2027 academic year.
The meeting focused on reviewing the mechanisms required to prepare colleges for the transition to the Bologna Process, identifying the major challenges and potential obstacles that may accompany its implementation, and discussing appropriate solutions to ensure its successful adoption in accordance with approved academic standards and the achievement of its intended objectives.
The participants also discussed the organizational and technical measures necessary to facilitate a smooth transition, unify institutional perspectives among the colleges, and exchange expertise in ways that contribute to enhancing the educational environment and improving the quality of academic programs, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s vision for modernizing the higher education system and strengthening its educational outcomes.
The Dean’s participation reflects the College’s commitment to keeping pace with developments in higher education and contributing effectively to the successful implementation of the Bologna Process in accordance with internationally recognized academic standards.
