University of Samarra adopts water-efficient appliances to enhance environmental sustainability
Samarra University announced the implementation of a comprehensive program for rationalizing water consumption through the use of modern water-saving devices and technologies, within the framework of the global sustainability UI GreenMetric 2026. The program aims to improve water resource management and reduce waste, which enhances the quality of the university environment and supports the Sustainable Development Goals. The university confirmed that institutional policies and awareness campaigns have contributed to spreading a culture of responsible water consumption among students and staff, in addition to installing water-saving devices in academic and administrative buildings.
