University of Samarra Integrates Sustainability into Academic Curricula
The University of Samarra has announced significant progress in implementing its “Curriculum Greening Strategy,” having introduced more than 113 academic courses embedded with sustainability concepts across various faculties, representing 18.25% of the total curriculum.
These courses cover diverse fields such as sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, green architecture, environmental media, and digital transformation.
The university emphasized that the initiative is not limited to scientific disciplines but also extends to the humanities and educational sciences, aiming to instill environmental awareness and social responsibility among students, while preparing graduates with practical skills to address challenges of climate change and resource management.
