University of Samarra monitors vehicle movement on campus to promote sustainable transportation

The University of Samarra has announced the results of its regular monitoring of vehicle movement within the campus, as part of its efforts to develop sustainable transportation policies and improve traffic planning.

The university reported that the total number of registered vehicles reached 632, including university-managed cars, private vehicles, and motorcycles, compared to a campus population of 10,187 individuals. This results in a vehicle-to-population ratio of approximately 6.2%.

The university’s administration emphasized that this monitoring contributes to evaluating traffic density, organizing parking, and supporting environmental sustainability initiatives across the campus.
