University of Samarra succeeds in reducing waste through digital transformation and awareness campaigns

The University of Samarra succeeded in reducing the production of paper and plastic waste last year, thanks to the Digital Transformation Initiative which decreased paper use by 20%, and the Single‑Use Plastic Reduction campaign which encouraged biodegradable alternatives and reusable containers.

The university confirmed that these efforts are part of its strategy to enhance environmental sustainability and to create a more conscious and eco‑friendly campus environment.
