University of Samarra manufactures the sterilizer device for vegetables, fruits, and canned food.

Under the direct auspices and support of the University President of Samarra, Professor Dr. Sabah Allawi, a research team produced a unique device for sterilizing vegetables, fruits, and canned materials.
The device consists of:
First: The two-part sterilization booth:
1: The first part: It consists of drawers in which the material to be sterilized is placed, and there are top drawers upon closing there are appropriate numbers of nozzles, 6 for each tray to pump water and sanitize material.
2: Cupboards containing filtration water and filtering systems according to international standards four developers to pump water and sanitize material into the first part by connection tubes and water pumps on voltages 24 to avoid electric shock. Also, there are three individual bottles, one for the wash water that is prepared from the filter system, the second to put the sterilizing material, and the third bottle is used for drainage water if there is no drain close to the device
Second: An electric board operating with 220 volts contains from the outside an on and off button in addition to lighting with a beep to indicate the end of sterilizing period stages, and inside the board includes containers with timers to control the pushing water periods and sanitizing materials and stopping it according to what it set.
Note that the sanitized process is set in three stages programmed by pushing the water at a specific time, then pushing the sterilizing material, and then leaving a period for completing the sterilizing process to kill the microbes and viruses. The water pumps to dispose of sanitizing equipment.
Various sanitizing materials can be used in the local market, such as chlorine (minor), in a ratio of 1/10 to sanitize cans and a sanitize liquid for vegetables, available in the local market, with the necessity of avoiding using the saline liquid because it closes the pumping sanitize nozzles.
The research team praised the continued following-up and unlimited support of the president.
