University President Discusses Campus Development with MP Mohammed Karim Al-Baldawi

The President of the University of Samarra, Professor Dr. Sabah Allawi Al-Samarrai, welcomed Iraqi Parliament member Engineer Mohammed Karim Al-Baldawi to his office on Thursday, February 13. They discussed the university’s recent architectural advancements, particularly the new buildings and ongoing projects.

MP Al-Baldawi expressed admiration for the university’s progress, noting its significant development, inclusion in global rankings, and distinction in publishing research in international journals. He also praised the university’s scientific achievements, including patents, and commended the president’s efforts to enhance the institution on all levels.

President Al-Samarrai highlighted the extensive efforts by the university’s administration and teams to achieve these developments and elevate the university’s global standing.

Additionally, Al-Samarrai detailed the completion of requirements for the university city project, including securing land ownership, finalizing engineering plans for future colleges, and the affiliated teaching hospital. He emphasized the administration’s commitment to resuming work on the university city upon securing financial funding and acknowledged MP Al-Baldawi’s continuous support over the years.

MP Al-Baldawi affirmed his commitment to addressing the university’s financial and administrative matters with the Ministry of Higher Education and the Prime Minister’s office, focusing on securing funds for the industrial pharmacy project, which recently halted due to financial constraints.

The meeting concluded with President Al-Samarrai thanking MP Al-Baldawi for his dedication to the university’s progress, while Al-Baldawi expressed gratitude for the president’s efforts benefiting the academic community and the public good.
