Workshop at the University of Samarra Explains the Bologna Process System for Agriculture, Management, and Economics

The Bologna Process Unit at the University of Samarra organized a practical workshop for the Colleges of Management and Economics and Agriculture. The session was presented by Assistant Lecturer Hatem Abdul Karim Alwan, the head of the Bologna Process Unit at the university, and attended by Professor Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed, the Assistant University President for Scientific Affairs.

The workshop provided a detailed explanation of the mechanism for establishing examination committees under the Bologna system, as well as the steps for submitting formative assessment scores and midterm grades from departments to the examination committees.

Additionally, Abdul Karim outlined the necessary steps to be followed within this system, emphasizing the importance of transferring final grades to auditing committees for review and verification. After entering the students’ final grades, they are to be sent to the Dean’s electronic account for final approval.

In his remarks, the Assistant for Scientific Affairs commended the efforts of the unit head at the university. He also praised the role of the Colleges of Applied Sciences and Engineering, which have been implementing this system since last year, in providing the Colleges of Agriculture and Management and Economics with sufficient information about the Bologna Process system.

It is noteworthy that this year, the Colleges of Management and Economics and Agriculture at the University of Samarra have been included in the Bologna Process system, joining the Colleges of Engineering and Applied Sciences in implementing this modern system aimed at developing higher education in accordance with global standards.
