The University of Samarra opens the Department of Biotechnology at the College of Applied Sciences within the newly created scientific departments

 

The College of Applied Sciences/ University of Samarra has created the Department of Biotechnology, based on scientific future visions and an extrapolation of the university’s future need for staff working in the field of applied life sciences specializing in undergraduate studies. The department began accepting the high school graduates for the scientific branch to give them a bachelor’s degree.

 

 

The President of the University of Samarra, Prof. Dr. Sabah Allawi Khalaf opened the Department of Biotechnology, with the Assistant Professor for Scientific Affairs Prof. Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed, and they were welcomed by the Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Aiser Saleh Muhammad, the vices for scientific and administrative affairs, the head of the department, Dr. Omar Thaer, and a group of college and department professors.

 

A video overview of the beginning of the establishment of the department and the goal of its creation was reviewed, which included cutting cake and visiting the department’s building, including its administration and classrooms.

The Department of Biotechnology aims to build strategies for current and future scientific projects and to provide the community with scientific qualifications in various fields of research for the applications of biotechnology and to keep pace with scientific development and to enrich it with scientific ideas and innovations in the medical, industrial, ecological and botanical disciplines.

Finally, the President of the University praised the quick efforts of the employees and wished them success.
