The University of Samarra is ranked 48th in the Transparency Ranking in Iraq

The University of Samarra continues to record its presence among the universities of Iraq and the world. It ranked 48th out of the total Iraqi public and private universities that exceeded 140 universities in the Spanish Transparency Ranking.

The ranking came after version 13.0.0 of the Transparent Ranking for January 2022, one of the Webometrics classification hubs by the Supreme Council of Scientific Research in Spain.

It is noteworthy that the classification depends on calculating the number of reference citations for researchers in academic institutions, based on researchers’ accounts in Google Scholar, as it includes about 7,500 educational institutions.

Harvard University ranked first globally, while King Abdullah University of Science and Technology ranked first in the Arab world and (217) globally.

It is noteworthy that out of all Iraqi universities, (91) Iraqi universities and colleges could enter this classification.
The University of Baghdad is ranked first locally and ranked (1484) globally with (76,111) reference citations.

On this occasion, the President of Samarra University, Prof. Sabah Allawi Al-Samarrai, urged all professors and researchers to raise the university’s name in science and knowledge.
