A research team from Samarra University publishes an essential paper in Scopus

 

The research entitled “Collecting and diagnosing some wild plants in the vicinity of the University of Samarra / Iraq” was published and presented by a research team consisting of:
* Dr. Shaima Hassan Ali/ College of Applied Sciences at Samarra University.
* Dr. Marwan Qahtan/ College of Applied Sciences at Samarra University.
* Instructor Ali Hussein Latif / College of Education, Tikrit University.
*Ali Talib Hassan.
* Abdul Hamid Adnan.
The paper identified 24 plant species distributed among 12 plant species from several gardens at Samarra University during the flowering period, and experts from the Iraqi National Herbarium diagnosed these species.
The Asteraceae outperformed all other families, including the Centaurea sp., Eclipta prostrate, Silybum marianum, Sonchus oleraceus, Sphagneticola trilobata, and Taraxacum officinale, followed by the Brassicaceae family, which included three genera, namely Eruca vesicaria, Lepidium draba, and Sisymbrium irio. In contrast, the rest of the other two families ranged from one genus.
