Vice President for Scientific Affairs Chairs Meeting with College Registration Officials

Professor Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, chaired an extensive meeting in his office, which included the Director of the Student Affairs and Registration Department at the university presidency and the heads of registration divisions in the colleges.

The attendees discussed the nature of the various academic systems adopted in the university’s colleges, noting that some follow the semester system, others operate on a credit-hour basis, and four colleges have implemented the newly introduced Bologna Process in their undergraduate studies.

Hussein highlighted that the colleges of Applied Sciences, Engineering, Management and Economics, and Agriculture, which follow the Bologna Process, are among the best in Iraqi universities in applying this system. He also appreciated the efforts of the registration division staff in successfully implementing the Bologna Process in their respective colleges.

In the same context, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs emphasized the necessity of providing all requirements for the registration divisions, praising the significant role played by the registration staff in monitoring student affairs, as well as the continuous follow-up by the department director on the tasks of the division heads.
