Scientific Symposium Highlights the Role of Chemical Reactions in Diseases

The College of Applied Sciences at the University of Samarra hosted a scientific symposium titled “Chemical Reactions in Inflammatory Processes and Their Impact on Diseases,” presented by Dr. Israa Ali Abdulkarim.

The lecture aimed to clarify the role of chemical reactions in biological processes and explain the concept of inflammation as a natural bodily response to injuries or infections, intended to eliminate harmful agents.

Additionally, the discussion covered the role of these reactions in maintaining overall health and their connection to chronic inflammatory conditions. It also highlighted key inflammation-enhancing factors, such as inflammatory cytokines, which play a central role in regulating immune and inflammatory responses.

The lecturer emphasized the importance of health awareness, urging efforts to educate the public about the impact of chemical reactions on inflammatory processes and overall health. She also recommended regular medical check-ups to enable early detection of chronic inflammation and minimize its complications.
