A Seminar on Administration and Economics Discusses the Role of Humanitarian Organizations in Combating Violence Against Women
The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Samarra held a seminar titled “The Role of Humanitarian Organizations in Combating Violence Against Women,” delivered by Assistant Lecturer Ishtiaq Ayoub Mohammed and Assistant Lecturer Yasser Jabbar Jawad.
The seminar aimed to highlight the efforts of humanitarian organizations in addressing the phenomenon of violence against women through community awareness and the provision of psychological and legal support to protect them. Comprehensive programs and plans were discussed to enhance the status of women in society.
The seminar outlined the role of non-governmental humanitarian organizations in combating violence against women by adopting strategies that protect women and promote their rights. Special emphasis was placed on their role in awareness and education, as well as providing psychological and social support.
Additionally, the speakers stressed the importance of strengthening families and activating the community’s role in protecting abused women, safeguarding their status as the cornerstone of society.
