A Faculty Member from Samarra University Participates in a Scientific Conference at Mosul University

Dr. Hind Youssef Majid, a professor in the College of Arts at Samarra University, participated in the scientific conference organized by the College of Education for Women at Mosul University. She presented her research titled “The Role of Women in the Early Days of Islam”, highlighting the pivotal role women played in various fields during the early stages of Islam.

The research delved into women’s contributions to the Islamic mission, their central role in supporting the mission both emotionally and materially from its inception, and their involvement in jihad, migration, nursing, and providing healthcare to Muslims.

Furthermore, the researcher emphasized women’s pioneering role in building the Islamic society, extending across all aspects of life.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Youssef’s participation aimed to underscore the importance of historical studies, highlight the role of women in the past, and open new horizons for enhancing their role in the present.
