Applied Sciences Educates on Mental Health and Its Impact on Women
The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with the Mental Health Unit in the Samarra sector, organized an educational seminar titled “Mental Health and Its Impact on Women: Causes and Solutions.” The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Haneen Khalid Naji, Assistant Lecturer Amina Mohammed Jassim, Ms. Nadia Abdulrazzaq, and Ms. Nibras Ahmed Sabri.
The seminar aimed to highlight the various psychological pressures women face in their daily lives and how to manage them effectively. It also sought to raise awareness of the importance of mental health for women.
The presenters encouraged women to adopt healthy habits such as engaging in physical exercise, spending time outdoors, and balancing personal life with work to reduce psychological stress.
Additionally, they emphasized key recommendations, including the necessity of psychological and social support for women and the importance of strengthening the role of specialized institutions and civil society organizations in providing appropriate support for women.
