Lecturer at the University of Samarra Publishes Research in Engineering Sciences in a Scopus and Clarivate Indexed Journal.

Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ismail Ulewi , a lecturer at the College of Engineering at the University of Samarra, published joint research in the International Journal of Heat and Technology, which is classified in the Third Quartile (Q3) in both the Scopus and Clarivate databases, and is issued by the international Canadian publishing house, IIETA.

The research, titled “High-Performance Cooling: The Effect of Inlet Turbulent Air Velocity on Triangular Fins to Enhance Heat Transfer Efficiency,” sought to study the mechanism of improving cooling performance using triangular fins at different speeds of turbulent airflow to achieve better heat dissipation and a uniform temperature distribution within thermal and electronic systems.

The study’s results showed that increasing the air velocity led to a decrease in the temperature of the highest point in the heat sink from \bm{79.8^\circ C} to \bm{52.5^\circ C}, which contributed to preventing the appearance of hot spots and achieving a more homogeneous thermal distribution.
Additionally, the use of triangular fins achieves high-efficiency turbulent flow, which enhances the heat transfer process and allows for faster cooling, especially when combined with a high-pressure air inlet.

In turn, the Department of Media and Governmental Communication at the Rectorship of the University of Samarra congratulates the lecturer at the College of Engineering on his new scientific achievement, wishing him continued success in his research career.
