Rector of Samarra University Opens Engineering Products Exhibition at the College of Engineering
The Rector of Samarra University, Prof. Dr. (Sabah Allawi Khalaf), opened the Engineering Products Exhibition within the Global Entrepreneurship Week in 2026, in the presence of its Dean, Assist. Prof. Dr. (Amjad Saleh Mahmoud), the Mayor of Samarra City, Dr. (Arshad Abdulsalam), and Lieutenant Colonel (Bakr Ahmed Mahdi), representing the Community Police, on the morning of Sunday, February 8, 2026.
The activities included the opening of the Engineering Exhibition for Scientific Products, which included several student projects, represented by the investment of solar energy, a remote control system for electrical devices (voice-controlled), as well as laser writing; for its ability to sustain, stabilize, and speed in execution.
In addition to Artificial Intelligence applications, which included a smart radar using (Arduino) used in building electronic projects (technical), as well as smart glasses to help the blind navigate safely and enhance personal independence.
Where the students innovated the Smart Garage, which is a modern system for better space management, reducing traffic congestion and accidents inside garages, and enhancing security through smart monitoring and alert systems, as well as establishing residential complexes with a new future vision.
In conclusion, -Sabah- emphasized the importance of supporting innovative student ideas, encouraging them to move from idea to product, and raising the value of the local idea, in enhancement of their scientific and intellectual skills, and to innovate projects that contribute to serving society and linking them to the economic reality.
