Samarra University’s College of Agriculture Highlights AI Applications in the Energy Sector

The College of Agriculture at the University of Samarra presented “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in the Modern Energy Sector” during a scientific seminar led by Assistant Lecturers Mohammed Ghaib Fares and Hussein Ali Abdulwahid, both faculty members at the college.

The seminar aimed to keep pace with recent advancements in artificial intelligence technologies and their applications in the energy field.

During the seminar, the concept of AI and its importance across various domains were clarified, particularly in light of rapid developments in the industrial sector and future plans for advancing AI technologies and applications.

Mohammed Ghaib discussed the wide-ranging impact of AI on different aspects of life, its role in the ongoing shift toward digitalization, and its relationship with human cognitive abilities and work patterns.

In the same context, Hussein Ali explained key features of AI, including learning capability, inference, and responsiveness in computer software.

Both lecturers recommended adopting AI applications that analyze energy consumption levels, assess technical and commercial loss rates due to energy use, and develop tools to forecast future energy demands.
