The President of Samarra University Inaugurates the Reading Room in the Female Dormitories
The President of Samarra University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Allawi Khalaf, inaugurated the reading room in the female dormitories, accompanied by the Director of Dormitories, Assistant Lecturer Muqdad Ali Ahmed, and the deans of the colleges that contributed to supporting the library, which accommodates more than 25 female students.
The library includes more than 300 books across various fields, such as Arabic and Western literature, Arabic and translated novels, as well as reference books for graduate students, Qur’ans, and diverse religious books.
The books were provided through contributions from many university faculty members, who donated a variety of books from their personal collections. Additional support came from the deanships of the Colleges of Education, Arts, Engineering, and Islamic Sciences.
In recognition of these efforts, Dr. Allawi directed the issuance of letters of appreciation to the contributors who actively participated in establishing and enriching the library with books, as a gesture of gratitude for their efforts in providing a suitable reading and study space for the female students.
This initiative aims to provide an appropriate environment that supports the female students in the dormitories of Samarra University in their reading and academic tasks, while also serving as a reading room to encourage the hobby of reading.
