The Scientific Assistant Chairs a Meeting for Human Rights Units in University Formations
Professor Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed (Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs) chaired a meeting in his office on Sunday, January 1, 2024. The meeting included the Head of the Human Rights Division at the university presidency and the heads of the units in the colleges.
The meeting aimed to prepare for human rights activities within the university formations, planned to be organized on Human Rights Day, and to strive to raise societal awareness of human rights, particularly within the academic community.
The attendees agreed to organize various activities, including awareness seminars, workshops, educational campaigns, and providing the necessary support for these activities. Additionally, activities will be distributed among the colleges, with unit heads assigned to follow up on their implementation.
The Scientific Assistant emphasized the importance of highlighting the university’s role in promoting human rights concepts and fostering a culture of social coexistence based on these rights. He also pointed out the significance of teamwork integration and paying attention to the activities of the division and its units.
