The Student Activities Department organizes a chess championship for university students.
The Student Activities Department at the Presidency of Samarra University organized a chess championship for students from all university colleges (male and female) from October 8-9, 2024.
Students from the College of Engineering won first place in the championship after competing against students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Science, who secured second place.
It is worth noting that the College of Physical Education hosted the championship rounds at the squash court, organized by the Student Activities Department at the university, with the aim of selecting the university team to represent it in the Iraqi Universities Chess Championship.
