The University of Samarra participates in the first media forum in Diyala

Mrs. Sarwa Madian, Director of the Media and Public Relations Department at Samarra University, participated in the media forum held by Diyala University on Thursday, 21/10/2021.
The activities of the first media forum were inaugurated by the President of Diyala University, Prof. Abdel Moneim Abbas. It was organized by the Department of Media and Public Relations in cooperation with the Department of Relations and Information in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the title (Managing Challenges and Digital Accompaniment) with the participation of directors of media and public relations departments in Iraqi universities.

The President of Diyala University, the representative of the Minister of, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel Sahib, said in the forum: “I am pleased and honored to convey to you the greetings of the Minister and his wishes for the participants in this forum for success as they stride towards developing work and sustainable development in the field of digital media. and community service.”

The Director of the Relations and Information Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Haider Al-Aboudi gave an important presentation of a documentary film entitled (The Pleasure of Challenges). He then gave a qualitative lecture in which he addressed the specifications of the official discourse in educational institutions, objectivity, impartiality, and providing correct information with evidence, as well as speaking about the functions of the spokesperson, his characteristics, and elements of influence on the recipients, inviting the participants In the forum, media directors in universities have to be responsible towards their institutions and work on creating an influential discourse in the public to achieve the goals.

After the forum’s activities, which was attended by members of the University Council, members of the Relations and Media Department in the ministry, and a group of academics specializing in media, the forum’s president, Prof. Dr. Abdel Moneim Abbas, honored the participants for their efforts and wishing them success in their journey.
