Celebrating International Women’s Day, the colleges of Samarra University have organized various events to honor and empower women.

 

 

The colleges of Samarra University celebrated International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8 every year, by organizing various events.

The College of Education celebrated through the Women’s Empowerment Unit, in collaboration with the Media and Public Relations Department of Samarra University and the Community Police in Samarra, by organizing a festival launching colorful balloons as a symbol of their progress.

The College of Islamic Sciences celebrated Women’s Day through a festival with the title “The Iraqi Woman: A Partner in Sustainable Development” in collaboration with the Women’s Empowerment Unit in the college, where exemplary female faculty and staff members were honored in addition to a group of women who belong to the contract system for their permanent employment.

The College of Applied Sciences celebrated Women’s Day through a survey conducted by the Media and Public Relations Department in the college, where female faculty, staff, and students expressed their congratulations and wished for success and prosperity.

The College of Engineering congratulated women on their special day, appreciating the charitable efforts of women in the university’s colleges and at different job levels.

The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences organized a voluntary campaign launched by the Media and Public Relations Department in collaboration with the Women’s Empowerment Unit in the college, including the distribution of awareness brochures about women’s rights and their importance in society and the prominent role they play in all aspects of life.

The College of Administration and Economics celebrated Women’s Day through the Women’s Empowerment Unit in the college by organizing a celebration with slogans advocating for women’s rights in society and the importance of their presence as partners to men.

The College of Agriculture congratulated Iraqi women on their special day with a speech delivered by the college’s dean and participated in by a group of female faculty, staff, and students, who affirmed their constructive support for women in various fields of work and life.

The celebration ended with a poetic evening held by the College of Arts, in which female poets presented their works and expressed their aspirations for the future of Iraqi women.
