Two Faculty Members at the University of Samarra Publish Scientific Research on Food in a Journal Indexed within the Scopus Database
Assist. Lect. (Raad Fadhil Abdullah) and Assist. Lect. (Bashayer Ibrahim Hamdi), faculty members at the College of Applied Sciences at Samarra University , published a scientific research paper in the \”Journal of Food Science and Technology,\” which is classified within the fourth quartile (Q4) in the Scopus database.
The research was titled: ( Enhancing Sustainable Rabbit Meat Production: A Feed-Based Strategy Using Natural Antioxidants to Improve Breeding Stock Fertility and Genetic Integrity.\”)
The two researchers sought to evaluate the impact of oxidative stress and study the extent of damage it causes to the fertility of male rabbits, specifically its negative effect on sperm quality and the integrity of its genetic structure.
In the same context, the results showed that natural antioxidants provide effective protection for sperm functions and DNA integrity by enhancing the antioxidant defense system, with the preservation of DNA integrity emerging as a protective effect.
In turn, the Department of Media and Government Communication at the University Presidency congratulates the faculty members in the College of Applied Sciences on their new scientific achievement, wishing them continued success in their academic and research careers.
