The College of Engineering Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Vibration Therapy

The College of Engineering at Samarra University organized a scientific seminar titled “Applications of Vibration in the Medical Field,” presented by Lecturer (Mohammed Owaid Attiya).

The seminar aimed to explain the basic principle, which relies on the use of mechanical forces—”vibration”—that stimulate muscles, bones, and nerves, resulting in a response that leads to a therapeutic benefit.

Mohammed clarified that vibration devices send rapid and precise oscillations through the body to mechanically stimulate muscles and bones for neuro-skeletal rehabilitation to restore optimal functions (bones, muscles, joints, and cartilage).

The seminar concluded with a recommendation to use vibration therapy in treating neurological and motor applications, such as Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injuries, pain management, and neurological diseases.
