Concluding Sustainability Week… Department of Media Holds a Competition for Its Students in Which They Presented Innovative Projects Ensuring a Green Future
The Department of Media at the College of Arts, University of Samarra, concluded Sustainable Energy Week, extending from Sunday to Thursday, falling on April 26-30 of this year, with a team-based competition for its students about innovative projects serving sustainable energy, developed by Dr. Jibril Abdul Latif Ibrahim.
The projects presented by students of the Department of Media varied between life-oriented projects, technical ones, in addition to academic projects serving students in general.
Each team was formed of 4-5 students, who participated with innovative projects represented by planning a smart chair project serving the student in universities, as well as the idea of producing an electronic application specialized in sports car maintenance.
The competition was distinguished by the attendance of the Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Allaw, along with the Head of the Department of Media, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Maulood Fadel, who supervised its implementation directly, in addition to some department professors who discussed the projects of the participating students, seeking to ensure the success and application of the ideas.
It is worth noting that the competition concluded with the department’s administration commencing the formation of a student team under the name (Green Media Team) concerned with environmental awareness and its sustainability, and guidance towards clean energy.
