College of Education Hosts Festival of Science and Creativity Showcasing Innovative Models and Artistic Works

The Department of Biology at the College of Education, University of Samarra, organized a scientific and artistic festival in the college gardens on Tuesday, April 8, under the theme “Life Through Biological Eyes… Horizons of Science and Creativity.”

The festival was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Kamal Hussein Ahmed, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, in the presence of a large number of faculty members, staff, and students.

The event featured a wide array of innovative scientific models and handmade artistic works created by students, reflecting their artistic and practical creativity and their interest in the field of life sciences.

Additionally, the festival welcomed students from a local elementary school, creating an atmosphere of engagement across different age groups. It also included patriotic poetry readings that expressed love and praise for the homeland, highlighting a strong national spirit and sense of belonging to Iraq.

The festival also included a charity bazaar organized by students from the department to support student activities and foster a spirit of initiative and collaboration among them.

The first day of the festival concluded with the presentation of honorary shields to senior members of the university and college, including the University President, the Dean of the College of Education, and the Head of the Biology Department.

The festival served as a platform to showcase students’ scientific and artistic achievements, emphasizing the value of integrating scientific innovation with art and creating a stimulating academic environment for excellence.
