A ministerial committee visits Samarra University to follow up on the establishment of graduate studies in archaeology.

Samarra University welcomed a committee from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, headed by Assistant Professor Dr. (Mohammed Saad Ibrahim) from the Directorate of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up, along with a group of professors from various departments of the ministry and Iraqi universities.

The committee reviewed the completion of requirements for initiating a master’s program in the Department of Archaeology at the College of Arts, which is set to admit students at the beginning of the next academic year.

The university’s Vice President for Scientific Affairs hosted the committee chair and members in his office, expressing gratitude for their efforts in following up on the university and its ongoing developments, which benefit the university and its students in parallel.

In turn, the committee members expressed their pleasure with the warm reception and hospitality, expressing their satisfaction with the college’s efforts in fulfilling all necessary requirements, which supports the academic and educational journey of the master’s program in the important Department of Archaeology.

It is worth mentioning that the Dean of the College of Arts accompanied the committee on their tour inside and outside the college, working to overcome any obstacles that might prevent the committee from approving the program. He also affirmed the implementation of all recommendations proposed by the committee, serving the university, the college students, and the Department of Archaeology alike.
